The Strathaven John Hastie Museum Trust Competition in conjunction with Strathaven Echoes.

We are launching a competition to celebrate the Year of Young People and
this ties in with the Educating Avondale Exhibition, which starts on Gala Day
in the Granary Building of the Town Mill.

You are invited to enter under one of the following headings:
Group 1- Age up to P3
Draw a picture on A4 paper showing what you like about living in the area in
2018.
Group 2- Age from P4 to P7
In around 200 to 250 words, describe what it is like living and learning in the
area in 2018.
Group 3 – Age S1 to S6
As above. In around 200 to 250 words describe what it is like living and
learning in the area in 2018.
Group 4- all ages above 18
As above. In around 200 to 250 words describe what it is like living and
learning in the area in 2018.
Group 5- Photographic entries

Entries please by the 31st May 2018
Please submit entries to the Strathaven Echoes office in the Common Green

There will be prizes for each category and winning entries will be displayed in
the Exhibition for the public to enjoy. We hope we shall have an interesting archive for the future of glimpses of Avondale in 2018.
