We are well under way with the prepartions for next week’s exhibition. We have now gathered a wealth of information on the education of young people throughout Strathaven and the surrounding areas. This includes schools, churches and other organisations.
On display will be information supplied by many organsiations as well as information co-ordinated by members of the Trust – plus various items of memorabilia including photographs, Echoes articles, old textbooks and pupil sheets etc.
Our official opening event will be on Friday 8th June in The Granary Building at the Town Mill for invited guests and Trust members. Thereafter, the exhibition will then be open to the public every day from Gala afternoon until Sunday 24th June. Opening times are as shown below. The Trust hopes that the exhibition will then be open at weekends until Sunday 12th August.
We are always looking for anyone who would be willing to come and along and lend a hand showing visitors around our exhibition. This year, we have had huge interest shown by the local schools and would be delighted if anyone would be willing to help during these times.
