We are delighted to announce this new event for the Trust!
It will be held at Strathaven Hotel on
Saturday 23rd November, 2019.
Over the past few weeks, filming of some local folk has been taking place, telling their stories from childhood, reminiscing about their lives in Strathaven and the local area.
Fascinating stuff!!
This is part of the Trust’s new project to build an oral archive of the local area. The event is being sponsored by Discover Strathaven and supported by Strathaven Hotel.
Tickets are £8 which includes tea/coffee.
Tickets are available from
The Common Greenery, 7, Townhead Street, Strathaven
or by contacting us via our email address
johnhastie2017@gmail.com
This is going to be an amazing event listening to some ‘weel kent’ faces from Strathaven! Perhaps afterwards you yourself may wish to volunteer to be filmed to add to our oral archive – or you may know someone else who might be interested in participating?
We also have the support and involvement of
Mhairi Anderson of Creative Strathaven
who will be gathering some demographic statistics during the event – in a creative way!
We look forward to seeing you next Saturday!

why does the trust need funding surely the builder and counciler who stole the museum could build a new museum with the profit they aquired
